Chatham Emergency Services is a community owned Non-Profit organization which provides both Fire and EMS services since 1961. We respond to more than 80,000 Fire and EMS calls per year. You do not need to be dual or cross-certified. You can work strictly in EMS; strictly in fire, or do both if you choose!

Chatham Emergency Services is always accepting applications for our Firefighter, Paramedic, EMT, Dispatch, and Support Staff Positions. Applicant testing occurs monthly!

All applicants that have submitted an application less than one year in age will be notified in writing by U.S. Mail or directly by phone of all upcoming testing opportunities.  You will not be permitted to test until you have submitted a completed application package.  Incomplete applications will not considered.

EMS Careers

Learn more about the various EMS Positions within Chatham EMS, as well as the application process. EMS hosts yearly, in house training for LifePack 15 cardiac monitors, Lucas 3 automated CPR devices, digital glidescopes, and advanced LTV ventilators. EMT school is taught roughly 5 times annually. Paramedic school is taught once per yer.
