Course Description

This course and the exams are based on NFPA 1002: Standard for Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator Professional Qualifications, and may lead to Pro Board certification. This course is designed for the fire fighter who wishes to advance to the next level of his/her career. Topics for this course include Preventative Maintenance, Tests and Inspections, Driving/Operating, Water Supply, Sprinklers and Standpipes, and Pump Operations.

Course Schedule

Participants must be registered for the class by 2359 on May 19th.  Online material will be assigned on May 20th and must be completed prior to the start of class.  Participants must arrange to obtain a book prior to the beginning of class.  Class will be June 3 – 6th and will conclude with testing on June 7th and 8th.  This class is not shift friendly.  You must attend 100% of class for June 3 – 6th, and you must attend either Friday, June 7th or Saturday, June 8th for testing.  You may not attend class while on shift.  Participants must register separately for testing.  Please contact Captain Ellington is you have any questions or concerns.
