Smoke Detectors
Smoke detectors save lives. Proper installation and maintenance are vital in mitigating risks associated with fire. Chatham Emergency Services encouages anyone who is unsure about the reliabilty of their smoke detectors to complete the ‘Smoke Detector Form’ below. The three services that you will find on the form include battery replacement, maintenace for pre-existing smoke detectors, and the installation of up to two new smoke detectors provided by our partner, the American Red Cross. Locked doors and secured entry points are essential in keeping your home and property safe on a daily basis. In the event of an emergency however, locked doors can interfere with the ability of first responders to perform thier duties efficiently. Home Safety Inspection
Are you confident that your home meets our standard for fire safety and preparedness? Would you live more comfortably knowing that first responders are aware of your home’s layout and the limitations of any occupants? Our Home Safety Inspection Program is the latest opportunity for community members to reduce their risk in the event of an emergency. Complete the ‘Home Inspection Form’ for a firefighter to visit your home and perform a fire safety inspection. They will educate you on ways to protect yourself and loved ones in the event of a fire.
Special Event Request
Chatham Emergency Services deeply values our relationship with community members. In an effort to continuously develop existing relationships while also establishing new ones, we offer our services for special events. If you would like a fire truck and / or an ambulance present at your event please do not hesistate to fill out the ‘Special Event Request Form.’ This is a great opportunity to have first reponders educate children about fire safety and how to act during an emergency.
